Have you always wanted to learn how to make ceramic bowls, plates, and vases? This class is for beginners who want to learn the basics of “throwing” on the potter’s wheel. Instructional demonstrations will focus on these three basic forms, and you will have your own time to practice creating functional pottery to take home. This is a fun, hands-on class for any enthusiastic beginner, and is open to returning students who want to better improve their skills. Both beginning and advanced-level demos will be given in most sessions. The studio fee covers the cost of kiln firing, 25 lbs. of clay, and a tool kit. Students in this class will also have Practice Hours from 4 pm – 6 pm prior to the start of class.
