The Arts Center of the Capital Region offers an array of versatile rental spaces and studios, supporting artists, arts organizations, and civic groups in their artistic endeavors and public engagement. Our spaces are perfect for studio rentals, performances, concerts, film screenings, small-scale fundraisers for community non-profits, meetings, symposia, art exhibitions, and other remarkable events.

Uses: Our Foyer/Main Lobby can be used for readings, meetings, and small receptions.
Price: $100 an hour for any event, inclusive of set up and break down.

Jane Altes Gallery

Uses: The Arts Center’s main art exhibition space, The Jane Altes Gallery, is available on a limited basis for short-term exhibitions or events.
Price: $100/hour for any event, inclusive of set up and break down.

Facility Rentals Conference Room The Arts Center
Conference Room

Uses: Teaching, Meetings, or Conferences.
Price: $40/hour.
Features: Projector rentals are available ($40/first day, $20/each additional day). Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

Blackbox Theater

Uses: Rehearsals, performances, conferences, lectures, private presentations, film screenings, and similar events.
Price: $150/day for rehearsals. $250/day for performances, conferences, or similar. $100/hour or $500/day for larger events.
Features: The Arts Center’s Black Box Theatre seats up to 99 people and is equipped with a professional sound and lighting system, a digital projection system, and two dressing rooms with private restroom facilities. Theater seating is collapsible allowing the space to be used as a private party room suitable for receptions and sit-down dinners. The Renter is responsible for all materials and supplies.
Black Box Theatre Technical Fee: $60/per rental contract, Black Box Marley Floor Installation Fee: $200

Dance Studio
Dance Studio

Uses: Teaching, Practice, or Rehearsal Space. Get ready to move your body! Supported by a sprung floor, ballet barres, mirrors, and a sound system, you can learn many styles of traditional and contemporary dance. This studio may be rented for pirate rehearsals, classes, and other events.
Price: $40/hour. $0/hr NYSCA subsidized rate
Features: The Dance Studio features a sprung floor, barre, and sound system. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

Drawing Studio

Uses: In this studio, students learn to transform two-dimensional surfaces with pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, pastels, and more! From basic mark-making to photorealistic renderings of landscapes and people, the skills learned here will give you the foundation to create limitless images in a variety of media. Rent the studio for teaching, or studio practice.
Price: $40/hour.
Features: Renter would be responsible for providing all materials and supplies for any activity that takes place in an Arts Center classroom or studio. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.

Features: The kitchen space for rent features a 4-burner gas stove, microwave, commercial three-bay sink, and plenty of prep space. Our windows open to allow fresh air in the space.
