If you are interested in joining Pottery Studio Access at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, please follow whichever option applies to you:
Option 1: If you have been an Pottery Access Member at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in the past and would like to restart your membership (available space permitting,) please email suzy@artscenteronline.org
Option 2: If you are interested in becoming a new Pottery Studio Access Member at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, and have not been an Access member in the past, please fill out this FORM. The pottery studio coordinator will reach out to you once the form has been submitted.
Advanced students only. The Pottery Access Pass is a 7-day/week program for ceramic artists who have previous experience in ceramic arts. This program is great for creatives looking to work independently in the exclusive members studio. You must be current members at the Arts Center to register and attended a minimum of 3 previous long-format classes. If you are not a previous student, you will be required to submit a form to our Ceramics Department showcasing your previous experience as a ceramic artist. The fee includes a shelf to store in-progress work, kiln firing within the kiln unit allotment, and use of in-house glazes. Clay is NOT included. The Art Center of the Capital Region is a cone 5-6 Midrange studio. Standard brand clays approved for use in the studio: 112, 225, 200, 201, 211***, 308, 543, 630***, 563, 240, 240G, 760, 800. All other clays must be approved by the Ceramic Studio Coordinator.
*** 211 and 630 are the clays we use for Arts Center classes. These clays are available for Access Members to purchase at the Arts Center for $35 for a 25lb bag. These clays have been tested with our studio glazes, all other clays need to be tested for glaze compatibility.

The Full-Shelf is one 18 inch x 6 foot shelf. $200
The Half-Shelf is one 18 inch x 3 foot shelf. $125
Please Note: Sunday Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No Access on Federal Holidays and periodic studio maintenance closures (communicated via the Ceramic Studio Coordinator)
