Description
Have you always wanted to learn how to make ceramic bowls, plates, and vases? This class is for beginners who want to learn the basics of “throwing” on the potter’s wheel. Instructional demonstrations will focus on these three basic forms, and you will have your own time to practice creating functional pottery to take home. This is a fun, hands-on class for any enthusiastic beginner, and is open to returning students who want to better improve their skills and in addition to the beginner demos at the start of class, intermediate-advanced level demonstrations will be offered during most sessions.
Studio fee includes clay for class projects, kiln usage, and basic materials/tools. In addition to class time, enrolled students will have open practice hours (1pm to 3 pm for AM classes, 4pm to 6pm for PM classes) on the day(s) they have class. For an additional charge, student enrolled in this class can also attend Sunday Open Pottery Studio.
