What is The Paired Provisions Series?
THIS PROGRAM FOSTERS CONNECTION AND ENGAGEMENT AND OFFERS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR ARTISTS AND ART ENTHUSIASTS TO INTERACT AND SHARE PERSPECTIVES OVER A DECADENT MEAL.
We bring local restaurants and caterers into the Jane Altes Gallery so our guests can enjoy the culinary delights of Troy while they’re immersed in the art in the Gallery. This wine & dinner pairing series enriches the Arts Center’s exhibition experience by bringing together artists and the community for a one-of-a-kind evening in our Jane Altes Gallery. Guests are invited to explore the artworks while indulging in a meticulously curated dinner, alongside expertly selected wines, creating a sensory fusion of art and gastronomy. This program fosters connection and engagement and offers a unique opportunity for artists and art enthusiasts to interact and share perspectives over a shared meal. Paired Provisions continues to be a one-of-a-kind beverage pairing dinner series.
What’s new for Paired Provisions this year?
We’re mixing it up this year! In addition to the wine pairing dinners you know and love, we’ll have some other events as well. Paired Provisions Presents will break out of the wine pairing dinner mold, bringing you spirits, beers, and more.
Paired Provisions Presents: Artistic Appetizers
This simple reimagining of our Paired Provisions series skips the dinner table and invites attendees to experience our Teaching Artist Showcase while crafting a special handmade treasure to bring home. As a creative “art appetizer” for the evening, guests will have the opportunity to craft their own micro canvas collages using pre-printed art imagery. This hands-on activity invites attendees to engage in conversation, share ideas, and spark creativity while making something uniquely their own.
We are happy to present the inaugural Creative Impact Award to George Rutledge, a remarkable member of the community and longtime faculty member and friend of the Arts Center. As a woodworking instructor and mentor, George has inspired generations through his craftsmanship, patience, and unwavering dedication to creative growth. His impact extends far beyond the studio walls, shaping not just skilled hands, but a more connected and creative community.
Bill Blake from Empire Merchants North will lead a lively discussion into his catalog of world-class wines while small bites from Susko Thyme Catering will round out an evening of creativity. Tickets are $50. Menu coming soon!
