Linear Perspective: Realism in Painting and Drawing

Description

In this course we explore how to use the principles of linear perspective to create realism in your work and push your drawing and painting skills to the next level. We will study concepts of 1-point, 2-point, and 3-point perspective; learn how to identify vanishing points and the horizon line to create a compositional framework; discuss how perspective affects curves and circles so we can draw them more accurately; and practice drawing basic landscape and still-life objects using these perspective drawing principles and skills. By the end of the course you will have a deeper understanding of how to create a sense of three-dimensional space on a flat surface.
