Description
Come learn to hand-build the human torso in clay! In this class, we’ll work with clay slabs to construct hollow forms that will be shaped and altered inside and out.
Students are taught to work directly from a live model to create a striking, freestanding, sculpture in clay. You will learn how to build the bone structure, musculature, and expressive stance of the human form. Strengthen your observation and building skills with step-by-step instruction and one-on-one guidance.
Studio fee includes clay for class projects, kiln usage, and basic materials/tools. In addition to class time, enrolled students will have open practice hours (1pm to 3 pm for AM classes, 4pm to 6pm for PM classes) on the day(s) they have class. For an additional charge, student enrolled in this class can also attend Sunday Open Pottery Studio. NO CLASS 3/24.
