Description
In this 7 week course students will be guided through the process of planning and executing their own designs into a dinnerware set. Students will learn what makes makes something a set through vision boarding to understand design cohesion. Students will receive instruction on handbuilding and throwing techniques that can be used to create their set. Participants will explore surface decoration and learn how to apply what they learn about design elements into the creation of their unique set. Students can expect to complete the course with 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 drinking vessels, and one serving implement. All levels welcome! Studio fee includes 25 lbs of clay, kiln usage, and basic materials/tools. In addition to class time, enrolled students will have open practice hours from 4pm to 6pm on the day(s) they have class.
