This 10-week class provides students with ample time to learn wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques necessary to make a wide variety of functional pottery forms including mugs, plates, platters, casseroles, teapots, and bowls as well as non-functional forms for decorative use. Students will also learn basic surface decoration and glazing techniques. In addition to the class time, students will have practice hours from noon – 2 pm each week, right before the start of class. Students with prior experience making pottery can strengthen their existing skills in this class as well.
