Take your printmaking skills to the next level. Reductive block printing is a technique in printmaking where the printing block is gradually carved away or “reduced” between each color application. Each time, the artist carves away more of the block to expose the areas where the next color will appear, while preserving the colors already printed. This method requires careful planning and precision. It allows for complex, multi-colored prints to be created from a single block, making it a versatile and challenging technique in printmaking.
