In this open shop, students have time and space to work on projects of their own choosing with the instructor’s guidance and encouragement. Refine your knowledge about hand and power tools, woods, joinery, and sharpening. Students should show up to the first class with their own wood for projects they are starting or have in progress. The instructor is available for consultation before the course starts if you need help defining your project or advice on purchasing wood and supplies. It is recommended that students have taken introductory woodworking classes or have previous woodworking experience. Basic consumable materials are provided (such as wood glue) but students will need to bring in their own projects and materials
