Paired Provisions: Little Brown Jug + Dig Deeper

The Pony Show, created by Capital Region restaurant & hospitality alums Paula Patterson & Tony Angelicola, have taken the region/area by storm through a series of acclaimed home catering and private events, including two-night dinner series at Edible Uprising Farm and June Farms. They take great joy in sharing food and wine with friends and loved ones. To Paula & Tony, gathering together to enjoy a meal is an occasion deserving of special treatment, from celebrations to cozy dinners and everything in between.

Curiosity about Troy clay led four artists to retrace the steps of “Uncle Sam” Wilson, digging the same clay used to make some of America’s first bricks. This led to a collaborative experiment with a cousin of Albany Slip, resulting in the Little Brown Jug show. The exhibition features historical pots, shared material, and contributions from potters nationwide. It also prompted deeper reflection on personal histories, privilege, and a more reciprocal relationship with the land. Dig Deeper showcases work born from curiosity, research, and diverse perspectives, inviting viewer participation in conversations about art and its connection to the earth.
